Legionellosis can propagate in unison during a pandemic
Health advocacy groups said a type of water-borne illness could spread in vacant workplaces in Illinois.
Legionellosis, which killed 43 people in Illinois last year, could return again in the COVID-19 pandemic.
Bob Bowcock, a legionellosis prevention spokesperson, explained that an abandoned water system in a closed workplace provides a perfect breeding ground for Legionella bacteria.
