JAKARTA, KOMPAS.com – PDI-P Secretary General Hasto Kristiyanto believes that the various problems currently facing the government of President Prabowo Subianto are an accumulation of problems inherited from the second term of the government of the 7th President of the Republic of Indonesia, Joko Widodo.
According to Hasto, the challenges currently facing the Prabowo government did not appear in a short time, but are problems that have been going on for a few years.
“The PDI-P considers it important to demonstrate objectivity in examining the national situation. The various economic, fiscal, governance and social problems currently facing President Prabowo are problems largely inherited from the government. Joko Widodo in the second half,” Hasto told reporters, Monday (1/6/2026).

Hasto conveyed this when responding to the moment of conviviality between Prabowo and the 5th President of the Republic of Indonesia and Chairman of the BPIP Steering Committee, Megawati Soekarnoputri, during the commemoration. Pancasila Birthday.
He said the challenges facing the current government must be addressed objectively and should not be blamed solely on the new government.
“For this reason, a spirit of national unity and cooperation from all components of the nation is necessary to help the government find the best solution,” Hasto said.

He also appreciated the friendly atmosphere demonstrated by Prabowo and Megawati during the Pancasila Day commemoration.
