First Coronavirus Reinfection Case Recorded in the United States
First documented case of Coronavirus Reinfection In North America emerged on Monday at the age of 25 Nevada man.

Other cases of reinfection have been reported in Hong Kong, Belgium, the Netherlands and Ecuador, but only the Ecuadorian case has also reported a second, more severe case, the researchers said.
“We can only speculate on the mechanisms that can cause more severe secondary infections,” the study authors write.

“We may have reported cases of continuous infection with deactivation and reactivation,” the author continued. “But for such a hypothesis to be true, we would need an unrecorded SARS-CoV-2 mutation rate.”
