Dr. Alexei Gonzalez Estrada, an allergist at the Mayo Clinic, says there are steps you can take to protect yourself. Obvious signs of allergies are easy to find.

“Obviously you can’t live in a bubble, but the air conditioner will be your friend,” he says. “So keep your air conditioner on in your car, in your home.”
