Hollywood TV producer Eric Weinberg has been charged with rape and sexual assault in cases dating back to 2014.
ANGELS – A television writer/producer accused of sexual assault by several women who claim to have lured them to his Los Feliz home for photo shoots was released on bail on Wednesday after his arrest on various sex charges.
Eric Weinberg — whose credits include “Scrubs,” “Politically Incorrect with Bill Maher,” “Californication” and “American Dad” — was arrested by Los Angeles police on Tuesday, prison records show.
Weinberg, 62, was booked and his bond was set at $5 million; he was released on bail late Tuesday evening.
Court records show Weinberg was charged Sept. 28 with 18 counts, including rape, sexual assault, assault, oral copulation, false imprisonment and forcible penetration by a foreign object. District Attorney George Gascón was scheduled to discuss the charges at a press conference Wednesday afternoon.
Weinberg was first arrested in July at his home in the 1900 block of Edgemont Street. At the time, police said he was suspected of “sexual assaults, including rape” that occurred between 2012 and 2019. LAPD investigators said Weinberg “appears to have targeted women at grocery stores, cafes and other public places” and invited them to his home. for photo shoots, where the alleged sexual assaults took place.

According to The Hollywood Reporter, more than two dozen women spoke to the publication describing a pattern of Weinberg’s predatory behavior dating back to 2000.
