Do you want to support a local cinema while you are broadcasting from your home? Alamo Drafthouse, which opened its DTLA office last year, and other independent cinemas and channels have partnered with Kino Lorber for a virtual theatrical experience. Starting tomorrow, the platform will present the horror comedy with Will Forte Extra ordinaryand you can buy tickets through the small cinema of your choice. Alamo has a number of other new movies to see this weekend.

The Los Angeles Opera has launched a daily entertainment offering to help you get rid of this artistic itch. This week, they presented a live broadcast of Carmen, an opera happy hour with Jeremy Frank, and Friday at 4 p.m. you can join them for a salon recital with tenor Ben Bliss and his wife, bassoonist Dana Jackson. Los Angeles independent rocker Ian Sweet, aka Jilian Medford, invites singer-songwriter Frankie Cosmos, bizarre (wonderfully) comedian Sarah Squirm, comedian Whitmer Thomas (fresh out of his first HBO special), and others for a live broadcast on Instagram. And they raise money for the popular progressive political group Ground Game L.A.

Every Friday, when the world is upside down, the Broad will present a new family tutorial for creating art at home inspired by artists from the Broad collection. Last week, Mark Bradford, known for using materials found in his work, showed families how to hunt for materials in their own homes and made it a unique work of art.
