Prime Minister Narendra Modi visited the Global Fintech Pavilion at Jio World Convention Centre in Mumbai on Friday.
At the Jio Convention Centre, Prime Minister Modi will address a special session of Global Fintech Fest 2024, which showcases the latest innovations in the fintech landscape.
He was seen interacting with industry experts on site and even wearing virtual reality goggles at a booth.
Policy makers, regulators, senior bankers and academics from India and other countries participate in the GFF.
Later in the day, he is expected to inaugurate and lay the foundation stone of various development projects at CIDCO grounds in Palghar.
Later this afternoon, Prime Minister Modi will lay the foundation stone of a Rs 76,000 crore project at Vadhvan Port, located near Dahanu town in Palghar district, which aims to boost the country's trade and provide direct connectivity to international shipping routes.
Ahead of his visit to Maharashtra, Prime Minister Narendra Modi today termed the 'Vadhvan Port Project' as a 'very special project' and said it would contribute to the development of India.
Prime Minister Modi also said that the project would reaffirm Maharashtra as a “powerhouse of progress”.
Responding to a social media post on X, Prime Minister Modi wrote: “A very special project that will contribute to the development of India. It will also reaffirm the central role of Maharashtra as the engine of progress.”
