Donald Trump Shares Bizarre Image of Himself and Others as DC Superheroes

Donald Trump is the legendary Man of Steel — at least, according to a meme the Republican presidential candidate posted on his Truth Social account.

The image shows Trump and various associates and supporters depicted as superhero characters from the DC Cinematic Universe. The 45th US president is depicted as Superman, while his running mate, JD Vance, is evidently meant to be Batman. (See the full image below.)

Additionally, the tableau includes Elon Musk, the pro-Trump CEO of Tesla and SpaceX, owner of X (formerly Twitter), as Cyborg, a half-human, half-robot, and entrepreneur, investor, and former presidential candidate Vivek Ramaswamy as Flash. Former U.S. Congresswoman Tulsi Gabbard is dressed as Wonder Woman, and Robert F. Kennedy Jr., who recently abandoned his independent presidential campaign and endorsed Trump, appears to be Aquaman. The Trump 2024 campaign announced earlier this week the additions of RFK Jr. and Gabbard to its transition team.

The DC superhero meme “originated from a user X who posts primarily about the former Indian president, politics, and cinema,” according to a report from The Daily Beast.

Representatives for Warner Bros. and DC did not immediately respond to a request for comment on Trump's post.

According to the Daily Beast article, “Trump and his associates have a long history of trying to compare the real estate mogul turned political agitator to the Man of Steel,” the article noting that Trump’s 50th birthday party featured him depicted as Superman as part of a diorama next to the cake.

In other contexts, Trump has presented himself as a Superman-like superhero. The former president launched a series of digital trading cards in late 2022, including one featuring him wearing a superhero costume (with a capital “T”) and lasers shooting from his eyes.
