After recovering 99 percent, Jokowi will tour Indonesia next month

RM.id Free people – The seventh president of the Republic of Indonesia, Jokowi, reportedly recovered 99 percent. Next month, Jokowi will return to Indonesia to greet the public.

The news regarding Jokowi’s health condition was revealed after a meeting with General Chairman of the Pro Jokowi Mass Organization (Projo) Budi Arie in the Rawamangun area, East Jakarta, Wednesday (1/5/2026).

The secretary general of Projo Freddy Alex Damanik posted the moment of the meeting online. Freddy, Budi Arie and Jokowi appeared to be in a restaurant.

“Meeting with many volunteer leaders. But Budi Arie and Pak Jokowi themselves spoke privately for about 30 minutes,” Freddy said in his statement, Tuesday (12/5/2026).

According to Freddy, volunteer meetings with Jokowi should be held regularly. He said Jokowi’s condition had now almost completely recovered and he was ready to return to greet people in various areas.

“Later, there will be regular meetings with the volunteers, although Mr. Jokowi is always open to his volunteers at any time. Mr. Jokowi responded 99 percent. In June, he will travel across Indonesia to greet people accompanied by his volunteers,” he said.

Projo also claims that Jokowi still has a strong influence on the national political map. “Pak Jokowi is a politician who is still very loved by the people and still has influence,” Freddy said.

He said that until now, Jokowi still accepted various aspirations of Papuan people in Aceh. However, regarding the direction of political support, Jokowi reportedly did not give specific instructions to Projo.

“For Projo, Pak Jokowi never mentioned his party membership, including Projo’s invitation to join a party. This is why Projo’s friends are still in various parties, including Mas Kaesang’s party PSI,” he said.

PSI DPP spokesperson Faldo Maldini believes that Jokowi’s move to various regions will help develop the PSI.

“Pak Jokowi’s message during the PSI national working meeting, he will go to the villages for this holiday. Regarding Mr. Jokowi, going to the field is the embodiment of this call and our entire structure is looking forward to it,” Faldo told free peopleTuesday (12/5/2026).

Faldo assured that PSI executives at all levels were ready to welcome Jokowi’s presence on the ground. According to him, Jokowi’s enthusiasm for work will give additional energy to PSI executives.

“PSI will accompany Pak Jokowi and Pak Jokowi will accompany PSI to various regions. We believe that people’s trust must be earned with their own sweat, through constant work on the ground,” he said.

Meanwhile, Indonesian Political House Director Fernando Emas assessed that Jokowi’s plans to travel across Indonesia would have a significant political impact, especially for the PSI, ahead of the 2029 elections. “For the PSI, for example, it will definitely have an impact on votes in the next 2029 elections,” Fernando told free peopleTuesday (12/5/2026).

Fernando believes that Jokowi is still a political magnet at the local level. It is believed that his presence will be able to arouse the enthusiasm of PSI administrators and loyalists in various regions.

He also said Jokowi’s presence would boost the confidence of volunteers and supporters that the former president was indeed close to the PSI. “It is a new energy and gives the opportunity to gain votes beyond the parliamentary threshold.
