Buleleng (Atnews) – Buleleng Regency Regional Secretary Gede Suyasa highlighted the importance of validating social protection data through the implementation of the Perlinsos portal to ensure that social assistance is actually received by eligible communities. This was expressed during the opening of the technical guide (Bintek) for the implementation of the Perlinsos portal application as well as the launch of the innovation “BESTiE Buleleng” which was initiated by the Social Service of Women’s Empowerment and Child Protection of Buleleng Regency at the Gede Manik Singaraja Arts Building, Tuesday (12/5).
According to Regional Secretary Suyasa, the digitalization of data through the Perlinsos portal is a strategic step for the Buleleng Regency Government in building a more accurate, transparent and targeted social assistance system. Through this application, all community data from decile 1 to decile 5 categories will be verified based on the population identification number (NIK).
“When the NIK is introduced into the system, the socio-economic conditions of the community will be considered as a whole. From there, it will be known who deserves to continue receiving assistance and who should be removed from the category of beneficiaries,” he stressed.
He explained that there are currently around 103,000 household heads in Buleleng Regency who fall into the decile 1 to decile 5 categories and require a verification process through the application system. In this process, social security officers who received Bintek will help the public enter data.
It was further indicated that this system also constitutes a solution to minimize the problem of social jealousy in society due to aid recipients who are not deemed to conform to their real economic conditions.
“Sometimes people see that there are aid recipients whose lives are better than other residents who did not receive aid. With this system, verification is carried out more objectively so that aid is actually given to those who need it,” said regional secretary Suyasa.
His party also stressed that people who had already received aid but no longer met the criteria for the beneficiary decile would be excluded from data on social assistance recipients. On the other hand, people who really need it but have not yet entered the data can always be offered again via the NIK entry mechanism by the social security agent.
On the same occasion, Head of the Social Service for Women’s Empowerment and Child Protection of Buleleng Regency, I Putu Kariaman Putra, said that the implementation of Bintek aims to increase the capacity of social security officers to use the social security portal to support the implementation of digitalization of social assistance in Buleleng Regency.
Aside from strengthening the accuracy of welfare recipient data and transparency of social services, his party also launched the Buleleng Peer Education, Clash of Inspiration and Empathy (BESTIE) joint innovation with the aim of preventing violence against children.
