For the sake of PSI, Jokowi is ready to descend the mountains around Indonesia: I am in good health
The 7th President of the Republic of Indonesia Joko Widodo (Jokowi) once again opened his voice about his plans to travel across Indonesia. Jokowi admitted that he was ready to respond to various community invitations from a number of regions as well as meet with cadres and volunteers of the Indonesian Solidarity Party (PSI).
Jokowi made this statement when met by reporters at his residence on Jalan Kutai Utara, Sumber, Solo, Monday (25/5/2026).
“I have received many invitations from the regions to attend from the community. I am in good health and I will respond to existing invitations, and this is also to motivate and also meet the PSI in the regions,” said Jokowi.
The political and friendship safari project immediately attracted public attention. Additionally, the Indonesia trip is expected to begin in the near future, in anticipation of the political dynamics leading up to the 2029 elections.
However, when asked if the agenda was related to political preparations to support Vice President Gibran Rakabuming Raka in the upcoming contest, Jokowi did not respond clearly.
“Because there was an invitation from the region,” he said briefly.
Jokowi also mentioned several areas that could be the initial destination of his visit. These include Lampung, East Nusa Tenggara and West Java.

Previously, Projo Freddy Secretary General Alex Damanik revealed that Jokowi was scheduled to start his Indonesia tour in June 2026.
This information, Freddy said, was obtained after a meeting between Projo President General Budi Arie Setiadi and Jokowi in East Jakarta in early May.
On the other hand, PSI Daily Chairman Ahmad Ali said that Jokowi’s travel program was still under discussion with Pro Jokowi or Projo volunteers.
According to Ahmad Ali, Jokowi has the habit of going straight down to greet the public, so it is difficult to stay away from these activities.
