PSI leaves two messages to Jokowi before Blusukan to the regions
ASPEK.ID, JAKARTA – The 7th President of the Republic of Indonesia Joko Widodo (Jokowi) plans to return to visit several regions starting next June. Ahead of this agenda, the Indonesian Solidarity Party (PSI) left two messages that Jokowi hopes to convey to the public.
PSI DPP Chairman for Political Affairs Bestari Barus said the visit was part of Jokowi’s efforts to respond to the public’s invitation after stepping down as president.
“He explained that he also greeted the community again, there were a lot of invitations,” Bestari said on Saturday (30/5).

Bestari hopes Jokowi will use this momentum to clarify his current political position. According to him, the public should know that Jokowi is no longer under the auspices of the PDI Perjuangan.
“That he is now with PSI. He is no longer with the old party, PDIP. So it is important to let the public know so that it is clear that in the future Jokowi is PSI,” Bestari said.
Aside from that, PSI also hopes that Jokowi will emphasize his support for the government of President Prabowo Subianto and Vice President Gibran Rakabuming Raka during his meetings with people in various regions.
In the initial Blusukan program, Jokowi reportedly planned visits to three regions, namely Lampung, East Nusa Tenggara (NTT), and West Sumatra.
Bestari said that during the visit, Jokowi would not only stay in touch with the community, but also meet the volunteers who supported him. Jokowi is also expected to visit PSI administrators in the regions.
“The fact that he is visiting, visiting those who have had contact with Pak Jokowi in various regions, including taking the time to visit the PSI DPOs, is an enthusiastic motivation,” he said. []
