ONLY, SabangMerauke News – Rismon Sianipar met with Joko Widodo at his residence in Solo on Wednesday morning. He brought a book titled “Joko Widodo Diploma Authentication: A Digital Forensic Study.” The book was prepared as a form of moral responsibility as well as an apology.
Rismon arrived around 09:44 WIB accompanied by his lawyer, Jahmada Girsang. Their presence attracted attention because it was linked to the controversy over Jokowi’s diploma. The book brought would contain the results of the latest digital research concerning this document.
“To express my gratitude to Pak Jokowi’s magnanimity, I made a big mistake all this time,” Rismon said. He said his conclusions were now based on a scientific approach and research. According to him, the results of the study were subject to an analysis process which can be explained.
Rismon admitted that he no longer bases his judgments on personal affiliations or feelings. The research focus is on digital test data, methods and results. The entire process is supposed to strictly follow scientific analysis standards.
The book has approximately 800 pages of research results. The study was carried out using modern image matching technology based on neural networks. Machine learning methods are also used to strengthen numerical analysis results.
One of the main sections deals with the correspondence of Jokowi’s face across periods of life. Photos from his youth compared to photos after serving as President of the Republic of Indonesia. The analysis was carried out using a facial recognition method called Acface.
“In Chapter 10, there is a facial image match,” Rismon explained. The study compared old photos with photos from decades later. The results of the analysis are used in digital forensic research.
Similar research has also been applied to a number of national figures for scientific comparison. Names such as Prabowo Subianto, Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono and Megawati were also analyzed. The objective is to measure the consistency of methods between different research objects.
Rismon explained that the measurement results showed a level of similarity within a certain range. The cosine similarity value is between 35 and 60 percent. According to him, this figure remains in the scientifically realistic category.
The visit to Solo was in the spotlight because it marked a change in Rismon’s attitude. He chose to convey the latest research results directly to Jokowi. This approach also served as a cover for the controversy that had widely developed previously.(R-03)
