Police station targeted by quadcopter in Lakki Marwat of KP – Pakistan

LAKKI MARWAT: Terrorists carried out a quadcopter strike on Shaheed Asmatullah Khan Khattak police station in Darra Pezu town here on Sunday evening.

A police official said the explosion was heard in the town of Pezu, but caused no casualties.

The official said the police officers deployed in the building remained unharmed. “Law enforcement also fired at the quadcopter, but it disappeared due to the high altitude,” he said.

The official said a contingent immediately went to the police station and launched a search for terrorists in the surrounding mountainous area.

Meanwhile, in Karak district, a police official was injured when a patrol was targeted with an improvised explosive device in the Darga Shaheedan area.

An official said DPO Imran Khan was leading the search and strike operation in the mountainous area when the blast occurred. He said an IED was planted by terrorists along the road to target law enforcement. The official said the blast injured SHO Banda Daud Shah police station.

After the explosion, law enforcement arrested several suspects during a search operation.
