Explosions in terrorist camps resonated around the world: Prime Minister mentions Operation Sindoor in Australia
Prime Minister Narendra Modi, addressing the Indian community in Melbourne on Thursday, asserted that India’s indigenous defense capabilities had gained global recognition, citing Operation Sindoor as proof of the country’s growing military strength. The prime minister said the world witnessed India’s resolve when explosions in terror camps “echoed across the world”.
Referring to India’s counter-terrorism operation in response to the Pahalgam terror attack, the Prime Minister stressed that the country’s actions sent a clear message that India would respond strongly to terrorism. “The world is witnessing the capability and credibility of Indian defense platforms,” he said during the meeting at Marvel Stadium.
“During Operation Sindoor, you must have seen the explosions that hit terrorist hideouts. Their echoes were heard across the world. When such a decisive strike was carried out on terrorist camps, weren’t you proud?” » he asked the assembly, eliciting loud cheers and applause from the crowd.
Further addressing the community, Prime Minister Modi said that 21st century India is gradually evolving into a developed nation, driven by the aspirations of its 1.4 billion people. He strongly pushed for ‘Make in India’, saying that products made in India are gaining acceptance and recognition on a large scale across the world.
“Over the last 12 years, ‘Make in India’ has become a global brand. Our mobile phones and electronic devices have reached markets all over the world. Our automobiles and pharmaceuticals have expanded their global footprint.
He added: “When a dream comes true, a new one is born. An achieved goal gives rise to even greater determination. This is an India that believes in “Grow More, Achieve More”.
The Prime Minister said India was now the fastest growing major economy in the world and was determined to become one of the world’s top three economies at the earliest.
“We are a nation of 1.4 billion people full of aspirations. We are impatient, we are impatient. We are the fastest growing large economy in the world, but we want to become one of the top three economies in the world as soon as possible,” he said.
Highlighting India’s technological advancements, the Prime Minister said the country has become the second-largest 5G market in the world and is rapidly working to develop indigenous 6G technology.

The Prime Minister also thanked the Indian community for their warm welcome, saying Melbourne had “stolen the show” with its enthusiastic welcome.
“The energy with which all of you and our Australian friends have welcomed us is truly incredible. Melbourne has, in a way, stolen the show,” he said.
Prime Minister Modi also thanked Australian Prime Minister Anthony Albanese, calling him a “friend of India” and recalling that the two leaders had already shared the stage in Sydney before meeting in Melbourne.
Speaking about the Indian diaspora, the Prime Minister said the community has played a key role in strengthening India’s global image while remaining deeply connected to its cultural roots.
Referring to the growing popularity of spiritual and cultural gatherings, he said Indian traditions continued to flourish abroad through events such as Satyanarayan Katha, Ardas at gurdwaras, Bharatanatyam and Bhangra, cricket tournaments and the upcoming Indian Film Festival in Melbourne.
