The first final of the evening was the Restricted Singles, where Scott Perry took on Tim Pulham.

Both players showed impressive form, with the first two legs contested evenly.

Perry initially took an aggressive approach and built a significant lead in the third stage.

However, Pulham showed remarkable resilience and recovered from a precarious position to win the leg 14-12.

Unfortunately for Perry, he suffered an injury during the match, which limited his movement in the fourth leg.

Pulham took advantage of this and secured a 3-1 win.

Next up was the drawn doubles final, with Alan Scammell and Ian Wall against scratch pair Dan Anderson and Graham Briggs.

Scammell, who had reached two singles finals and a quarter-final, was expected to star alongside Wall.

The match started with the home side taking an early lead, but Anderson and Briggs rallied to claim the first set 11-9.

In the second leg, the challengers maintained their momentum, quickly building a two-set lead.

Scammell and Wall fought hard in the third leg, but despite a promising start they were unable to convert their lead into a victory, allowing Anderson and Briggs to complete a straight-sets victory and claim the Doubles Crown.

The Hardbat Singles event featured a famous showdown between Bruce Kettle and Eric Green, two players who have dominated this format in recent years.

Kettle, reigning champion three years in a row, brought his attacking flair to the final, while Green relied on his defensive skills.

The match went as expected, with Kettle taking the first leg and establishing a commanding lead in the second.

Just when victory seemed assured, Green made an impressive comeback, scoring seven straight points to close the gap.

However, Kettle kept his composure and eventually secured the match point by winning the trophy for the fourth time in a thrilling match.

In the Main Singles Event, Daniel Young took on three-time champion Tony Forster in the semi-finals.

Forster, who had surprised many by reaching this stage, struggled to find his rhythm against Young, who dominated the match and advanced to the final.

The other semi-final featured Gary Young and Ian Wall, with Gary emerging victorious after a strong performance that saw him take the first two sets comfortably.

Wall fought back in the third leg, but Gary eventually secured a straight-sets victory to set up a highly anticipated father-son final.

In the final match of the evening, Daniel Young took on his father Gary.

The first leg was closely contested, with Gary taking an early lead. Daniel responded by improving his accuracy and winning the next two legs.

In the fourth leg, Gary adjusted his tactics and led the entire match, earning several game points that could have forced a decisive leg.

However, Daniel was undeterred and made a fierce comeback, winning the leg 12-10 and claiming the title for the second time.

Club chairman Norman Smith presented further awards during the evening.
