DU Hockey Alumni will host Avalanche Alumni on August 23
DENVER – The University of Denver’s Magness Arena will once again play host to the second annual Colorado Alumni Faceoff as former DU Pioneers and Colorado Avalanche players face off on Sunday, August 23 at 5:00 PM MT.
Tickets for the Alumni Game are on sale now and can be purchased here.
Every ticket sold makes an impact as proceeds support the Colorado Avalanche Alumni Association’s mission to give back to youth hockey, scholarships and mental health programs in the state of Colorado.
The two alumni bases faced off for the first time last August at Magness Arena, with the Pioneers winning 8-7 in a shootout. That game featured Avalanche greats like Peter Forsberg and Milan Hejduk and Troy Terry and Scott Mayfield of recent DU NHLers.
Schedules for this year’s event will be announced later this summer.
Prior to the game starting at 3 p.m., a pre-game party will take place outside Magness Arena on the north lawn with activations, food trucks, giveaways and more. Purchase a fan fair autograph ticket for a chance to get autographs from Avalanche and DU alumni before the game at DU. Tickets for this will go on sale at a later date.
