Jacquemus, Nike team of the French Football Federation for the collection
FEVER: As football fever grips France following Paris Saint-Germain’s Champions League victory, Jacquemus has unveiled a new collaboration with the French Football Federation and Nike.
The hero item is a jersey that will be worn by French national team players as a pre-match shirt this summer when the 2026 FIFA World Cup takes place in the US, Mexico and Canada from June 11 to July 19.
According to the Parisian fashion house, the collection is rooted in founder Simon Porte Jacquemus’ “lifelong connection with football” and a vintage navy blue Nike track jacket from his youth.
“From this memory emerges a wardrobe that revives the nostalgia of 1990s football culture through clean lines, pure proportions and an unmistakably French elegance,” the house said in a statement on Monday, when it also released teaser videos in which star players such as Aurelien Tchouameni, Marcus Thuram, Désiré Doué, Warren Zaire-Emery and Killian Mbappé wore some of the merchandise.
The designer’s collaboration with Nike dates back to 2022, when he also drew inspiration from vintage pieces and Nike campaigns from the ’90s.
For the new project of the French Football Federation, Jacquemus investigates how football influences style, identity and creative expression.
The designer also mixed the iconic colors of the French flag – blue, white and red – with timeless sportswear references and “refined simplicity.
“signature stripes are reinterpreted from a football perspective, while classic fabrics replace technical materials, creating pieces that feel honest, durable and deeply connected to the game’s legacy,” said Jacquemus, who also collaborated with Sport dans la Ville as an associate non-profit partner.
Sport dans la Ville, founded in 1998, helps young people from disadvantaged neighborhoods by offering team sports sessions.
