Coronavirus: Boris Johnson has announced a gradual easing of the blockade – BBC News

The Prime Minister has outlined measures to gradually ease the blockade in England, while at the same time warning that there is a risk of a second pandemic rupture. In a TV address, Boris Johnson said it was the right time in England to “update” the government’s message, to “stay home” and be “alert”.

The Labor Party warned that the new work lacked clarity. And the message of ‘staying home’ doesn’t change in Scotland, Wales or Northern Ireland.

The prime minister’s plan calls for anyone who can’t work from home to return to work, but preferably not use public transport.

People will be told that they can exercise as much as they want, but doing sports can only be done with members of the same household.

Since June, schools in England have been able to see a partial reopening from the first grade. There are no plans to return full secondary schools before September.

In early July, the hospitality industry and other public places may be expanded.

There may be some forty or so air passengers arriving in the UK if there are no details yet.

Huw Edwards has presented a report by political editor Laura Kuenssberg of BBC News at Tenwester and Danny Savage from a correspondent in the north of England.
