 Five weeks after hitting the devastating earthquakes on March 28, many affected societies are still in urgent need of safe shelter, health care, clean water and sanitation, cash assistance and various forms of protection support.

 The early seasonal wind season began with daily rain this week, which exacerbated the difficulties for families living in tents and temporary shelters, and increasing health risks.

 While emergency assistance needs remain high, early support for recovery and livelihoods is vital to helping people affected by rebuilding and restoring their lives.

 With local organizations at the forefront of the response, humanity continues to provide food, clean water, hygiene support, emergency shelter and other cash assistance.

 More than 6.3 million people need in areas that are difficult for earthquakes, which requires great expansion in response. The rapid exchange of financing the institute and continuous access to all societies is necessary to increase access to humanitarian assistance.
