The Disaster and Emergency Administration Directorate (AFAD) said that an earthquake worth 5.4 people struck the west of Tarkayi on Sunday, shaking Istanbul and nearby cities, including Ezamir and Porsa.

The country's disaster agency reported that the earthquake occurred at 12:59 pm local time (0959 GMT) with a Simaf Center in Cutahia Province.

The earthquake, which was also perceived in the neighboring provinces, took place at a depth of 8.46 km (5.2 miles).

Interior Minister Ali Yerlikaya stated that the teams have started field survey studies in the wake of the 5.4 -calamities earthquake that struck the Simaf area in Kutahia.

“The 5.4 earthquake hit Simaf, Kotahia. The earthquake was also perceived in the neighboring provinces. All teams of AFAD and relevant institutions have started field surveys. My condolences have extended my condolences to our citizens affected by the earthquake,” he said.

There are no victims or immediate damage

In a joint statement on social media, AFAD said that Ovirickai felt a USak, Balkesir, Bursa and Bilecik, there is currently no negative positions.

The Authority added that the field assessments are continuing and conveyed good desires to the residents affected by the trembling.

The teams continue to perform ground inspections in the affected areas to ensure public safety. AFAD emphasized that it will provide updates as necessary while monitoring possible developments.

Kotahia Governor Moussa Essen also told the state -run Angelo Agency that no loss of life or property damage was reported.

He said: “Until now there is no negative position. Our research and field work continues. Recently, the same area has witnessed an earthquake of 4.6 people followed by many wireless tremors. Once again, this earthquake happened in the same region. Thank God, there is no negative development at this stage.”
