Online consultation on stopping preventive maternal mortality to identify preventable maternal mortality targets
Completing Preventive Maternal Mortality (EPMM) is a global initiative whose ultimate goal is to halt preventive maternal mortality to support the achievement of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) to achieve an average maternal mortality rate (MMR) of less than 70 per 100,000 live births by 2030. years.
By 2030, all countries should reduce the maternal mortality rate (MMR) by at least two-thirds of the 2010 baseline level.
An additional national target is that no country should have an MMR higher than 140 per 100,000 live births by 2030.
Many countries have successfully reduced the MMR, but efforts are needed to accelerate progress towards the sustainable development goals in all countries. Between 2000 and 2017, the average annual reduction rate of global maternal mortality was 2.9%, which is far less than what is needed to achieve the SDG’s global goals.
The EPMM Steering Team, chaired by the WHO and UNFPA, is in the process of refining the EPMM initiative. In addition to the mortality reduction targets, the EPMM establishes targets and milestones for monitoring progress for the period 2020-2025. As maternal and newborn health are inextricably linked, the coverage targets will be linked to the objectives of the Newborn Action Plan (ENAP), to provide countries with opportunities to faster implementation of integrated health programs for mothers and newborns.
The purpose of this open consultation is to gather feedback from stakeholders of mothers and newborns on the proposed targets for EPMM coverage for the period 2020-2025. Each indicator will have a global and national target. Subnational targets will be defined based on the national targets set out in this internet consultation.

Unlike physical insurance agencies, websites don't have a specific schedule and they are available at any time. Drivers that have busy working schedules, can compare quotes from anywhere and at any time, even at midnight. Multiple choices. Almost all insurance providers, no matter if they are well-known brands or just local insurers, have an online presence. Drivers are no longer required to get quotes from just a few known insurance companies. Also, local and regional insurers can provide lower insurance rates for the same services. Accurate insurance estimates. Online quotes can only be accurate if the customers provide accurate and real info about their car models and driving history. Lying about past driving incidents can make the price estimates to be lower, but when dealing with an insurance company lying to them is useless. Usually, insurance companies will do research about a potential customer before granting him coverage. Online quotes can be sorted easily.
