According to the National Center of Seismology (NCS), the earthquake struck Mindanao island in the archipelagic nation of Southeast Asia. The earthquake occurred at a depth of 10 kilometers (6.2 miles). “Earthquake magnitude: 6.0, occurred on 07-02-2021, 09:52:55 India time, latitude: 6.86 and length: 125.40, depth: 10 km, location: Mindanao, Philippines,” NCS tweeted.

According to the US Geological Survey, the earthquake, which measured 7.0 on the Richter scale, struck 210 kilometers southeast of Bundagwitan, the Philippines.
