San Jose Earthquakes and Chris Wondolovsky joined the coalition to mobilize engagement around Black History Month

San Jose Earthquakes is part of an alliance of five Bay Area professional sports teams representing BAY AREA UNITE that are collaborating with the Dr. Huey P Newton Foundation to mobilize community engagement and awareness for Black History Month.

Quakes will join Golden State Warriors, San Francisco 49ers, Oakland Athletics and Oakland Roots SC in the virtual program “The Black Panther Party Celebration of Activism” that airs via Facebook Live and YouTube on February 24 at 3 PM ET. The event will feature a tribute to the ‘Black Panther Party 10’ program; What We Want and What We Believe ”, Specials and Exclusive Look at Judas and Black Christ.

San Jose striker Chris Wendolowski is also slated to make a virtual appearance.
