Five COVIDs-19 died and 446 new cases were reported in South Dakota

Sioux Falls, South Dakota — The South Dakota Department of Health reported on Monday, September 20, that COVID-19 killed five more South Dakota states, increasing the number of deaths from the state’s virus to 2,105.

An additional 446 cases of COVID-19 occurred in South Dakota, state health officials reported. Active cases increased to 7,927, increased 133 from Friday and doubled from the end of August. New cases continue to outpace recovery, indicating that the new COVID-19 surge has not peaked.
