Day 2, Israel sees more than 2,000 new cases of coronavirus every day

Daily new coronavirus cases in Israel exceeded 2,000 for the second consecutive day, health officials confirmed Thursday.

The Coronavirus National Knowledge and Information Center reported on Wednesday that at least 2032 people tested positive for COVID-19, with an astonishing 8.3% transmission rate.

The latest tally shows that 1 in 12 Israelis are tested positive for coronavirus.

The Ministry of Health also revised Tuesday’s new virus case count from 1975 to 2002. This means that the country has passed the mark of concern for two consecutive days.

Reportedly, three more people died from the disease, with 433 deaths from coronavirus-related complications since the outbreak began.

The number of patients is a serious condition, increasing to 295. 79 of them are ventilated.

According to this report, 25% of coronavirus tests performed in the last 7 days were positive in Beitar Illit. In Erraud, 22% of all tests were positive, 20% in Beit Shemesh, 19% in the city of Bneibrak in Halledi, and 18% of all tests in Modine Ilit.
