Michigan Reports 838 New Coronavirus Cases Saturday 5th September
Michigan reported 838 new cases of coronavirus on Saturday, killing eight.
This includes the previous three deaths found during a review of state-wide vital records.
The new numbers bring the cumulative number of confirmed COVID-19 cases to 106,215 and 6,534 deaths across the state.

On Friday, 982 new cases were registered. This is a rise after a consistent downtrend at the beginning of the month. Health authorities warn Holiday weekends can lead to gatherings that can help spread the virus.
Of all cases so far, 80,678 are marked as recovered. This includes survivors who had the virus before August 5. This classification does not mean that you have recovered from all symptoms or illness.

As of September 5, 619 adults confirmed or suspected of having COVID-19 were hospitalized throughout the state, with 150 in the ICU. Six children have also been hospitalized and have suspected or confirmed cases of COVID-19.
