One important advice from allergists: Do not stop taking allergic medications, including nasal steroids. Think of it as weakening your immune system and making it more susceptible to coronavirus.
“Their allergic drugs do not intend to impair their body’s ability to fight off the coronavirus,” Weinstein said. “There is no advice that taking these drugs increases the susceptibility to the virus. In fact, the opposite is true. Making asthma uncontrollable can exacerbate the effects of the coronavirus.”
