The COVID incident at FHS keeps students studying from home

A student at Fredericton High School was at home on Tuesday, but public health did contact tracing work after the case was confirmed at school.

“This is about contact tracing, so the goal is to have only one day,” said Dominicardi, Minister of Education and Early Development.

“So we’re done with contact tracing and hopefully we can get all our kids back into a regular, coordinated routine from 2020 to 2021.”

“No student-to-student transmission has been confirmed in any school,” public health said Tuesday.

This was the first case reported at Fredericton School.

The Ministry of Education said the school would stay in touch with the family about when students could return.

“Obviously, we want to be very, very careful,” Cardy said. “We want to avoid it happening in schools and elsewhere, but we’ll get advice from public health in the next step.”

Cardy doesn’t say how they connect to the state’s largest high school, which has 1,900 students, whether they’re members of students, teachers, or other staff. ..
