Now that the heatwave is officially over, Britons can expect the weather to return to average with temperatures dropping on Sunday.
The Met Office said there would still be plenty of sunshine across East Anglia and south-east England in the morning.
Temperatures in London are expected to rise to 24 degrees Celsius, while southeastern England is expected to reach up to 22 degrees Celsius.
The Met Office said there would be more clouds across the country, rain could fall in northern Scotland and temperatures would peak in the mid-teens.
People in Wales will experience temperatures around 18C, while people in northern England will experience temperatures between 18C and 20C.
It follows a record-breaking heat wave that saw temperatures rise to 35.1C in Kew Gardens, west London, on Tuesday.
Thames Water has asked millions of people in London and the south-east to stop using hosepipes during the heatwave, warning that demand for water has increased by up to 50% as people begin to “water their gardens, fill their swimming pools and use hoses and sprinklers”.
NHS England said 20,092 people visited its heatstroke helpline page over the bank holiday on Monday, compared to 488 the previous day. The number of visitors over the weekend was 36,724.

South East Water said on Thursday evening that water supplies to thousands of people in Whitstable had been cut off during the hot weather as storage reservoirs in the area “reached dangerous levels”.
The photo shows a line of people lining up at a Sainsbury’s bottled water collection point near Kent Town. The bottled water company said 8,000 customers were without water.
It comes as the company urged customers to only use water for essential purposes, including drinking, washing and cooking, as supply problems continued over the hot Bank Holiday weekend.
On Wednesday, a teenage boy became the 11th person to die in a water-related accident during the recent heat wave.
The hot weather prompted many people to take to the sea, resulting in many deaths in South Yorkshire, West Yorkshire, Cornwall, Hampshire, Warwickshire, Cheshire, Pembrokeshire, Lincolnshire and Lancashire.
“We are now starting to see the very hot weather fading away,” Met Office chief forecaster Chris Bulmer said.
He added, “As the heat begins to ease, the weather will become more variable, and there may be showers and thunderstorms.”
“Temperatures will be much closer to average for the year by the weekend, with rain expected for many through the weekend and into early next week.”
More low pressure systems are set to move across the UK on Monday, with showers expected across most of the country.
As the week begins, temperatures could still reach 23C in London and the south-east, but will remain around the mid-teens for most parts of the country.

Unlike physical insurance agencies, websites don't have a specific schedule and they are available at any time. Drivers that have busy working schedules, can compare quotes from anywhere and at any time, even at midnight. Multiple choices. Almost all insurance providers, no matter if they are well-known brands or just local insurers, have an online presence. Drivers are no longer required to get quotes from just a few known insurance companies. Also, local and regional insurers can provide lower insurance rates for the same services. Accurate insurance estimates. Online quotes can only be accurate if the customers provide accurate and real info about their car models and driving history. Lying about past driving incidents can make the price estimates to be lower, but when dealing with an insurance company lying to them is useless.
