An impending heat wave is coming to the capital, Baltimore, over the weekend and into next week. While the weather has been nice and comfortable over the past few days, an earthquake shook things up in Baltimore on Friday afternoon. The epicenter of the 2.6-magnitude earthquake was about half a mile south of Woodlawn, Maryland, with an emphasis at a mile and a half depth.
While there is a chance of showers and a possible storm in the middle of next week, shower activity will be few and far between. Many will be left high and dry, with a heat wave affecting the entire area. While a heat warning is highly unlikely, the threat remains for heat-related illnesses.
