Vaccines needed at several indoor events throughout Colorado
Denver, Colorado. (KRDO)- New health order According to the Colorado Department of Public Health and Environment, everyone needs to be vaccinated at an indoor, unoccupied event attended by more than 500 people in a particular county throughout Colorado.
The protocol will take effect on November 19 in the counties of Denver, Arapaho, Adams, Boulder, Bloomfield and Jefferson. Health officials said this was an effort to prevent superspreading events.
The CDPHE also said the order recommends that the county adopt vaccine requirements for employees in high-risk environments.
“Thanks to the counties coordinating with the state to slow the spread of the virus. Large venues and local governments are part of the solution to end the pandemic.” Jill Hansakar Ryan, Executive Director of CDPHE, said: “Also, if you haven’t done so yet, all coronadans must be vaccinated and play their part. Get a booster. Basics such as masking, staying home when sick, washing hands, etc. Follow public health precautions. ”
The new health order follows Governor Jared Polis’ plans announced on November 10 to make large event venues safer. In his November 10 announcement, he also outlined four additional tactics to curb the COVID-19 epidemic and protect hospital capacity.

State amendment Public Health Order (21-01) Coloradans over the age of 18 can get a booster if they have been vaccinated with Pfizer or Moderna for 6 months or 2 months after being vaccinated with J & J. The state said the public health order was in line with the governor’s executive order.
