Family Business Shines on the Las Vegas Strip
LAS VEGAS, Nev. (FOX5) — A Florida family sets up shop inside the Fashion Show Mall and sat down with FOX5 to share the story of their trip to the Las Vegas Strip.

Richard Clark is a United States Air Force veteran born in Jacksonville, Florida. He and his wife Clare, and their daughter, Persia, now reside in Las Vegas.
Richard and Clare started a jewelry business in Jacksonville and began selling their pieces at flea markets. A year later, they began selling their wares at pop-up shops on Naval Air Station Jacksonville, which they did for four years.
But it was a vacation to Las Vegas that changed their lives.
The couple approached several casino hotels about opening a store, but after those conversations, they felt they had to prove they could succeed.
They loved our products. First of all, they loved our look, they loved our energy, our clothes, everything, Richard told FOX5. They wanted to see what we could do with a storefront.
So they opened Mahruyeh in a Fort Lauderdale mall. The name means pretty face in Farsi and is the middle name of their daughter Persias.
It didn't take long for them to secure a spot at the Fashion Show Mall on the Las Vegas Strip.
“It was just crazy to look up and see our store name is on the Las Vegas Strip! To go from a flea market to this is incredible,” Richard said.
The couple says that even though they are next to expensive, luxury designer boutiques, their prices for clothing and accessories are not out of sight. We will have the high end, but we will also have the low end. We want everyone to come and enjoy that experience.
The dream is to open a store inside Caesars Palace. But in the meantime, the family plans to continue attracting new customers, keeping existing ones happy and sharing their small business success story. This is our store, this is our brand, this is Mahruyeh taking over Las Vegas.
