One of the things that fascinates patent attorney Lars Grannemann about his work is the high level of concentration that is required. He found his initial feelings confirmed and that he enjoyed the work of a patent attorney.
The 31-year-old learned the trade at Cohausz & Florack. Last year he was admitted as a professional attorney at the EPO and this year as a German patent attorney. What's even more impressive is how quickly he gained market visibility through his involvement in mobile communications businesses. His presence in proceedings impresses competitors. Early in his career, he was active alongside Christoph Walke for Nokia against Lenovo and Sharp against Daimler. Grannemann is now playing a bigger role in cases such as Nokia versus Amazon Prime or HP, with the latter settled this week. He was also recently a representative at Nokia against Mala.
But table tennis training no longer fits the demanding work of a patent attorney, which requires all his concentration. That's why Lars Grannemann decided to take a new path and discovered triathlons. Competitions like the Indeland Triathlon offer him a better balance in the challenging world of patents.
