CHARLESTON, SC The Marshall University Tennis Team wrapped up the first action of the CofC Classic on Friday in Charleston, South Carolina.
“Much better second singles. I think we've made good progress. Two really good wins for Sophia,” Herd Tennis Head Coach Johannes Mercer said.
Sophia Hurion picked up singles wins over College Southern's Noa Boyd in three sets (7-6, 0-6, 1-0 (10-8)) and College of Charleston's Jason McKee in straight sets, 6-2, 7-5 .
Nel Van Hout also picked up a victory over Harper Santos of College of Charleston, 7-6, 7-5, in straight sets.
