ATC issues written verdict on Imran's bail plea in several cases on May 9

LAHORE (Dunya News) – The Anti-Terrorism Court (ATC) in Lahore on Saturday delivered a detailed written verdict on the bail pleas of Pakistan Tehreek-e-insaf (PTI) founder Imran Khan in four incidents related to May 9.

Justice Arshad Javed of ATC Lahore delivered a five-page written verdict in which it was pointed out that Khan was not named in these cases and was named in the light of the witness's statement.

The verdict further highlights that the former prime minister was only accused of abetting the conspiracy.

It was also mentioned in the verdict that the police officers who came to know about the conspiracy did not inform any higher authority in the department.

According to the verdict, the petitioner (Khan) was arrested in the premises of the Islamabad High Court (IHC) and the Supreme Court (SC) announced the verdict of his arrest the next day.

He added that the PTI founder condemned the May 9 incident before the SC.
