New cases fall Tuesday to 359 in Minnesota

Rochester, Minnesota — 359 cases of COVID-19 were reported in Minnesota on Tuesday, 18 August. The new cases add up to 66,061 as confirmed by state laboratories.

The state on Tuesday also reported another nine deaths from the virus. One died in the Anoka, Carver, Lawn Mower, Ramsey, Scott, Sherburn and Watton One counties, and two in Nobles county. Seven of the nine deaths were long-term care residents.

A total of 1,721 Minnesota people died of this disease.

According to a new study from Center for Disease Control and PreventionAs of early August, Minnesota lost 842 to 1,874 lives, compared to the deaths recorded at the same time last year.
