Health unit confirms new case of COVID-19 in Greater Sudbury
This is the 93rd positive case of COVID-19 reported by Public Health Sudbury & District
Public Health Sudbury & Districts reports new COVID-19 cases in residents of the Greater Sudbury, Sudbury District, and Manitoulin District service areas.
Through contact tracking, public health will notify all close contacts directly. If you are not contacted by public health, you are not considered to be close contact.
This is the 93rd case of COVID-19 in the district.
The latest case is a woman in her 50s with no travel history or contact with known cases. She was tested on August 12, and is currently self-isolated.
Publich Health Sudbury & Districts allows up to 50 people indoors and 100 people outdoors, but recommends limiting non-critical face-to-face meetings of any size.
“To reduce COVID-19 infections, it is important to limit face-to-face contact with contacts as much as possible,” said a news release from the health department.
“With a few exceptions, currently the maximum number of people in a rally is 50 indoors and 100 outdoors. Unless you’re in the same household or in social circles, you’re 2 meters (6 feet) apart, If you can’t keep a distance, cover your face. Face coverings should be worn in all indoor public spaces and also in other indoor spaces where distances cannot be separated.”
Meetings, physical distances, social circles:
Close contact is permitted within the “social circle” and between members of the same household. A social circle can contain up to 10 people and must always be with the same person. You can only belong to one social circle.
Prevent the spread of COVID-19:
- Wash your hands frequently and for 15 seconds when visibly soiled.
- Cover your cough or sneeze with your arm or tissue, throw the tissue away and wash your hands.
- Do not touch your eyes, nose, or mouth.
- Close contact may result in exposure to COVID-19, so continue to practice maintaining physical distances.
- Masks or face covers should be worn in all indoor public places in Sudbury and the district. It should also be worn in other locations where physical distance cannot be maintained.
- Avoid contact with sick people.
- Self-monitoring of COVID-19 symptoms.
- If you are not sick, stay at home and have an examination.
If you have symptoms of COVID-19, take a test. People who are asymptomatic or are worried about being exposed to COVID-19, or who are at risk of being exposed to COVID-19 through employment should also contact the evaluation center for testing. I recommend it.
Travel information:
All residents planning a trip should be aware that COVID-19 is still circulating at various levels throughout the state. The safest option is to stay in or in the area of your home community.

View photos The advantages of comparing online car insurance quotes are the following: Online quotes can be obtained from anywhere and at any time. Unlike physical insurance agencies, websites don't have a specific schedule and they are available at any time. Drivers that have busy working schedules, can compare quotes from anywhere and at any time, even at midnight. Multiple choices. Almost all insurance providers, no matter if they are well-known brands or just local insurers, have an online presence. Online quotes will allow policyholders the chance to discover multiple insurance companies and check their prices. Drivers are no longer required to get quotes from just a few known insurance companies. Also, local and regional insurers can provide lower insurance rates for the same services. Accurate insurance estimates. Online quotes can only be accurate if the customers provide accurate and real info about their car models and driving history. Lying about past driving incidents can make the price estimates to be lower, but when dealing with an insurance company lying to them is useless. Usually, insurance companies will do research about a potential customer before granting him coverage. Online quotes can be sorted easily.
