Gogglebox: Mary says show ‘saved’ her marriage

Gogglebox star Mary Killen has revealed that the hit Channel 4 show “saved” her marriage.

Mary, who is married to acclaimed artist Giles Wood, revealed that they have become “like ships passing through the night.”

But now, it looks like being on the show has had a positive effect on their relationship.

The Wiltshire couple, who nickname themselves ‘Nutty’, have been together since they met at the age of 21.

But it took Gogglebox to bring them together.

Talk to Daily Star, Mary said, “Giles and I were like ships passing through the night. I got up early, he went to bed late and we rarely ate together.

“Sitting down and watching TV reminded us how much we love the same jokes.”

Former model Mary also revealed that the lockdown was not a big test for the couple.

With so many long-term relationships ending because of the pandemic, Mary reassured fans that they are staying strong.
