Bollywood star Shah Rukh Khan and his wife Gauri Khan donated their four-story personal office to the Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) for use as a quarantine facility for women, children and the elderly.

This comes at a time when India and the rest of the world are fighting the deadly COVID-19 pandemic.

Shah Rukh’s decision to donate his office comes just days after helping the government to help fight the COVID-19 pandemic.

Shah Rukh, through his IPL Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) franchise, has committed to contributing to the PM-Cares Fund. Through his film production banner, Red Chillies Entertainment, he will donate to the Maharashtra CMs Relief Fund.

The superstar also promised personal protective equipment for healthcare providers and workers in Maharashtra and West Bengal.

The Shah Rukhs Meer Foundation and the Ek Saath Foundation will provide the daily food needs to more than 5,500 families for at least one month in Mumbai. The Meer Foundation also collaborates with the Roti Foundation to provide meals to disadvantaged people and day laborers.
