SNL actor and writer Peter Aykroyd has died in Spokane
SPOKANE, Wash.– The comedy world said goodbye to one of their own this month.
Writer, producer, actor and comedian Peter Aykroyd died on November 6 of natural causes. He was 65 years old. He would have turned 66 on November 19.
Aykroyd was an Emmy-nominated actor and writer for Saturday Night Live for his 1979-198 season.

He then started working with his brother, Dan Aykroyd, on TV shows and movies.
In a brief statement to The Associated Press Monday, Dan Aykroyd cited the Spokane, Wash., Medical examiner as saying his brother died of sepsis due to an internal infection precipitated by an untreated abdominal hernia.
He was born in Ottawa, Canada, and his career followed a similar path to that of his brothers, the Second City comedy troupe in Toronto and eventually Saturday Night Live, which he joined months after Dan Aykroyd left. and his colleague John Belushi to focus on their film. careers.
