Kangana Ranaut was recently seen on the big screen in the actioner Dhaakad. However, the film failed to establish a connection with audiences, and with negative reviews from critics, it quickly disappeared from theaters.

Now we hear that Kangana Ranaut is gearing up for her next outing Tejas. In fact, the vine claims that posting the Dhaakad debacle the makers of the film RSVP are refilming some parts and plan to release the film directly on OTT.
Revealing details about the same, a well-placed industry insider tells Bollywood Hungama, Post Dhaakad the manufacturers of Tejas decided to redo parts of the movie to avoid making a similar mistake. On top of that, given the recent box office turmoil, or rather Kangana’s past record, RSVP believes that Tejas will fare better if it has a direct-to-OTT version. Ask for release details and it goes on, Ronnie Screwvala and the RSVP team working on Tejas are still thinking about a direct release to OTT, they haven’t locked down a platform and date yet. But currently, the general consensus is that an OTT release will be beneficial for all parties, producer, actor and director. They don’t want to be surprised by a similar fate at the box office like Dhaakad and would like to secure their advertisements.
However, to gain some more clarity on the matter, Bollywood Hungama contacted RSVP, who completely denied the developments. In fact, according to RSVP, the film is still slated for an October theatrical release. Dispelling the rumors as hearsay, the production house claims that even though some parts of the film have yet to be shot, the same will be completed in time for an October 2022 release. As for the date itself, the creators of Tejas to reiterate that the film will be released in theaters on October 5th.
Tejaswhich is set in 2016, revolves around a daring female fighter pilot and the Indian Air Force’s decision to induct women into combat roles.
