Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 is coming to Funko Hollywood
In Honor of Marvel Studios Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 Now playing exclusively in theaters! the Guardians landed in Hollywood (so as not to kidnap Kevin Bacon this time). Now through May, 17 visitors to Funko Hollywood can see costumes from the film up close, plus take a photo with the life-size Funko Pop Rocket for an out-of-this-world photo op.
To celebrate the film’s release, Funko Hollywood kicked things off with an exclusive costume preview event, in addition to new Funko merchandise inspired by the film. Guardians stars Sean Gunn and Maria Bakalova, who play Kraglin and Cosmo respectively, also stopped by to kick things off.
I love you guys and hope you like the movie. You are part of it all, we do what we do so we can share it with all of you, Gunn told the crowd.
Asked about embarking on one last ride with Garuaisn’s crew, Gunn continued, There’s a sadness that sets in on this last ride for this incarnation of the Guardians. As much as it’s sad working with the friends I’ve made on previous films, it’s also very joyful when you finish something. As artists, we don’t keep it to ourselves. We invest in it, we put our heart into it, then we share it with others. That’s the cool part, that’s the part that really turns me on now.
Bakalova, who joins the Guardians for her first film, echoed the same sentiment, noting that even though she only spent a few months with everyone, I fell in love with them.
To be together for ten years, to develop something like this, to develop these characters, to bring hope to these people, it’s sad and it shows in the film. But you can also laugh a lot, it’s a fun movie.
