And Zev Buffman, who died last week at the age of 89, was definitely one of the most interesting.

Buffman always said he loved people and the city.
He designed the “Broadway West” campaign in which several domestic tours built their productions in Owensboro, not New York.
And he created things like Winter Wonderland, which turned the RiverPark Garden into a rink in winter, Free Movies on the River, and the International Mystery Writers Festival, which brought big names to the city from 2007 to 2012, with a few gaps. .
Buffman even tried to bring Grand Prix racing to the city of Owensboro.
