Joni also revealed that there were 19 other Covid-19 positive patients who died. A total of 303 patients died from Covid-19 in East Java, the equivalent of 7.82%.

Surabaya is indeed the epicenter of the transmission of Covid-19 to East Java. Of the total number of Covid-19 positive cases in East Java, the city of Surabaya treated 2,118 patients. Then Sidoarjo brought 542 patients and 134 patients to Gresik.

Joni said that 65% of Covid-19 patients in the region came from Greater Surabaya, which included Surabaya City, Sidoarjo Regency and Gresik Regency. According to him, this reality cannot be considered insignificant.
