Trump gathers at Resch Center with longtime Packers quarterback Brett Favre

ASHWAUBENON (WLUK) — Former President Donald Trump returned to the Green Bay area on Wednesday.

Trump held a rally at the Resch Center in Ashwaubenon.

Former Green Bay Packers quarterback Brett Favre joined him.

The armed forces campaign was closed early Wednesday morning.

Then, starting at 10 a.m., Lombardi Avenue, between Holmgren Way and Oneida Street, was closed to traffic. This will be in effect until Trump's motorcade has left the Resch Center and the crowd has left the area.

Kristi Johnston, Wisconsin Democrats' Coordinated Rapid Response Campaign Director, released the following statement ahead of Trump's rally in Ashwaubenon:

Donald Trump is increasingly unstable and unhinged, focused on himself and his own grievances rather than on American families. That's why Green Bay Republican State Senator Robert Cowles joined dozens of other Republicans, Independents and Democrats across the state in supporting Vice President Harris. A second Trump term would take away our reproductive rights and increase costs by nearly $4,000 a year for middle-class families, which is not what Green Bay voters are looking for.

Trump has visited Wisconsin several times this month and last held a rally in Green Bay in April at the KI Convention Center.

Around the same time Wednesday, Vice President Kamala Harris will hold a rally on the UW-Madison campus at 5:30 p.m.

Then later this week, the two presidential candidates will travel to Wisconsin again to hold dueling rallies in Milwaukee on Friday.

Earlier this week, Wisconsin hosted Republican vice presidential candidate JD Vance and Democratic vice presidential candidate Tim Walz.

This Halloween, former President Bill Clinton will visit the Fox Valley on behalf of the Harris-Walz campaign. A specific location and time has not been released.
