Polda Metro Jaya plans case for Jokowi's alleged fake diploma

Polda Metro Jaya has scheduled a case regarding the alleged fake diploma of the 7th President, Joko Widodo (Jokowi). Head of Public Relations of Polda Metro Jaya, Brigadier General Ade Ary Syam Indradi, said this was done after hundreds of witnesses and a number of experts had finished being questioned.
Furthermore, he said that currently investigators continue to coordinate with the DKI Jakarta Attorney General's Office (Kejati) to determine further steps, including plans for a title of the case.
“Investigators communicated with prosecutors from the beginning, from sending the SPDP to being notified of the start of the investigation. Then a case will take place with the Public Prosecutor's Office,” said Ade Ary, Friday, October 31, 2025.
He said this case was conducted to evaluate the facts and evidence gathered by investigators. From these results, it will be determined if there is enough evidence to name a suspect in this case.
“This is part of the SOP. All evidence and facts are carefully considered before deciding who should be suspected of committing a criminal act,” he added.
Ade Ary emphasized that Polda Metro Jaya is committed to resolving this case in a professional and proportional manner. The investigation is still ongoing, including examining the facts and evidence related to the case.
It is known that the 7th President Joko Widodo (Jokowi) went to Polda Metro Jaya to report allegations of fake diplomas on Wednesday, April 30, 2025.
According to Jokowi, this issue should be brought to justice so that everything becomes clear and does not give rise to prolonged speculation.
