BANDUNG, KOMPAS.com – The Projo Volunteers Organization expressed its readiness to supervise the agenda of the visit of the 7th President of the Republic of Indonesia, Joko Widodo, to various regions in Indonesia.
President of the DPP ProjoBudi Arie Setiadi, said the agenda was not a five-year political activity, but rather an effort Jokowi respond to invitations and continue to hear directly the aspirations of the community.
Budi said Projo saw Jokowi as a popular leader who had the desire to greet the people even though he was no longer president.
For this reason, Jokowi plans to visit a number of regions based on the invitations he received.

“Yes, he is a leader of the people. A leader who wants to hear and greet the people. Mr. Jokowi is a leader who listens to the people. This has been conveyed to all of Mr. Jokowi’s volunteer groups,” Budi said after the opening of the West Java Projo conference at one of the hotels in Jalan Siswa Pejuang, Bandung City, Saturday (30/5/2026).
According to Budi, plans for the visit have been passed on to Jokowi’s network of volunteers in various regions.
Visiting area
One of the areas included in the planned tour is Cirebon, West Java.
“There are plans to go to Cirebon. It’s still in the plans, yes. Although it’s still based on an invitation. Mr. Jokowi said he was going to that area to respond to the invitation that came to him,” he said.
Budi emphasized that Projo is ready to support and supervise every visit made by Jokowi.
In fact, his party opens opportunities for collaboration with all elements of society and with any political party.
“We are always ready. We are also ready to collaborate with all volunteer elements in the community and any political party,” he said.
Questions of political relevance
According to Budi, Jokowi’s presence in society does not always have to be linked to a particular political agenda.
“We believe that Pak Jokowi is a leader of the people. A leader who wants to listen to the people. A leader who truly thinks about the well-being of the people,” he said.
Asked about the opinion that Jokowi’s activities in the regions were linked to political interests ahead of the upcoming contest in support of Vice President Gibran Rakabuming Raka, Budi admitted that there was no problem.
“Yes, all politicians want to think this is normal. We are told to respond to people’s responses and thoughts. Let it flow. We need to protect people’s freedom of thought,” he said.
