Projo Says Jokowi Has Recovered, June Will Travel Across Indonesia To Greet People
Projo Secretary General Freddy Alex Damanik revealed that the condition of the 7th President of the Republic of Indonesia Jokowi has recovered to 99 percent and plans to start traveling to Indonesia again next June.
This was conveyed by Freddy after a meeting between Jokowi and Projo General Chairman Budi Arie Setiadi in the Rawamangun area, East Jakarta, last Wednesday (1/5). Freddy uploaded the meeting to his social media account.
Jokowi and Budi Arie appeared to be having a serious conversation in a dining room. Freddy said the meeting was part of a discussion with volunteers.
“There were many volunteer leaders (at the meeting). However, at the meeting, Budi Arie and Pak Jokowi had a one-on-one conversation for about 20 to 30 minutes,” Freddy told reporters on Tuesday (12/5).
He said Jokowi had recovered and planned to travel across Indonesia to greet people.
“Pak Jokowi said 99% (recovered), in June he may go around Indonesia to greet people,” said Freddy.
Jokowi still has influence
According to him, the figure of Jokowi still has a great influence on Indonesian politics. He said the travel program across Indonesia was carried out to absorb the aspirations of the community with the volunteers.
“His language is to greet people, there is no particular agenda. But we believe that Pak Jokowi is a politician who is still very loved by the people and therefore still has an influence in Indonesian politics. Later, when he goes to the community, he will be accompanied by volunteers,” he added.
Freddy said Jokowi always received various contributions and aspirations from people in various regions.
“During this meeting, Mr. Jokowi also said that until now he is still receiving information and input from the Indonesian people from Papua to Aceh about the condition of the Indonesian people,” said Freddy.
Apart from that, he said meetings between Jokowi and the volunteers would be held regularly every three months. He said Jokowi was ready to return to greet the public.
“Later, there will be regular meetings between Mr. Jokowi and the volunteers, agreed to be held once every 3 months, but Mr. Jokowi’s door is always open at any time for his volunteers,” he said.
He pointed out that during the meeting with Budi Arie, there was no discussion about Jokowi’s political orientation or plans to join a particular party.
“In Projo, Pak Jokowi never said that he was joining a party, including inviting Projo to join a party, that’s why Projo’s friends are still in various parties, including Mas Kaesang PSI’s party, many of Projo’s friends have also joined him,” Freddy concluded.
