Polda Metro Jaya handed over Jokowi’s certificate files to the Prosecutor’s Office again
JAKARTA, KOMPAS.TV – Polda Metro Jaya handed over the files of the alleged fake diploma of the seventh President Joko Widodo (Jokowi) to the DKI Jakarta Attorney General’s Office.
Head of Public Relations of Polda Metro Jaya Kombes Budi Hermanto said the files had been handed over and his party was now waiting for the continuation of the prosecutor’s process regarding the status of P21 (files declared complete) until the second stage of the case.
He said his party would provide further information on developments in the case.
“Yes, that means this case has been referred to the Prosecutor’s Office. So in the near future we will inform you if it is P21 and the Phase 2 plan, we will forward it later,” he said in Jakarta, Saturday (23/5/2026), followed by a YouTube video. KompasTV.
Previously, the Roy Suryo CS camp demanded that the Jokowi diploma case be immediately stopped.
Roy Suryo’s lawyer, Refly Harun, believes that the case involving Roy Suryo and Tifauzia Tyassuma or Doctor Tifa can no longer be continued as it violates the law.
“This case must be stopped because it is no longer suitable to continue because it violates the law. We ask the High Prosecutor’s Office to stop this process,” Refly said at a press conference in Jakarta, Friday (22/5), broadcast KompasTV.

On the other hand, Jokowi’s lawyer Yakup Hasibuan said that Jokowi would be present and show his diploma at the trial of the alleged fake diploma case with suspect Roy Suryo CS which is ongoing at Polda Metro Jaya.
“We emphasize that Pak Jokowi will later appear at the trial and show his diploma,” Yakub said,” he said when meeting in Surakarta, Saturday (23/5), followed by a YouTube video. KompasTV.
Yakub said Jokowi was ready to show his primary school diploma (SD) to S-1 who was in question.
Regarding the procedure for hearing and nominating diplomas, his party handed it over to the panel of judges.
“Everyone, since primary school, even if the issue is UGM, maybe, but previously Mr. Jokowi was also willing to show it,” he said.
